Camp has Begun!
Yippy! We are here. Day one went swimmingly, as all the students jumped right in and got their camp on. OK…so where to start?…Well lets start with the trip up. The van ride was fun. Of course there were the normal van hijinks but whats more, the van would not go over 55 MPH! So it took a bit. Once we did finally make it to Timberline we were welcomed by a 1.5 hour registration process. That was fun. Once registered we were off to lunch…mmm…hamburgers 
after which we got settled into our cabins and then it was time for all the good campy camping stuff. Im talking canoeing, archery, hiking and the like. Next thing you now, it’s dinner time. mmm…BBQ Chicken (was the food really that good or do I just like to eat?) after dinner we were treated to great time of music, sketches and an amazing message from Johnny Pope. After the evening service we all stuck around to listen to the vocal competition (soloist and duets) needless to say that the vocalist were not expecting to put on a stage show for 450 campers (oh yes, did I mention that there are like 400 students here this week + counselors)!! So needless to say they were VERY nervous. After listening to a little singing (and a whole lot of knees knocking) it was free-time and then we were off the the cabins for devos (devotions) and bed.
